Chubhan is about problems stemming from greed and jealousy. In this story, Yasir Hamdani is living a happy and content life with his wife, Habiba, and three daughters. In another portion of the same house live, his financially strapped brother, Nasir Hamdani who resides with his two children and wife, Hasnah. Yasir Hamdani’s daughter Zara is deeply in love with Shehryar but for the sake of her father’s happiness she agrees to marry his friend’s son. Shehryar finds this unbearable and on the night of Zara’s mehndi threatens to commit suicide. Zara leaves the festivities in an attempt to stop Shehryar from committing suicide with the result that their lives take a new turn.
